For today’s Throwback Thursday, I want to share some old promotional videos for TERA, or The Exiled Realm of Arborea. Launched by Bluehole Studios way back in the prehistoric era of 2011 TERA wanted to promote its action-based combat as the superior alternative to traditional MMOs like World of Warcraft.
And what better way to do that than hire professional kickboxer Bas Rutten as their spokesman? Bas Rutten gives a humorous performance and the trailers never come off as particularly spiteful or ill-mannered. It’s all exaggerated to be in good fun.
