Summer Game Fest Promises Four Months of Events

To cure those no-E3 blues.

What is the world to do when everything is cancelled, especially video game conferences? Have the conferences in your own home. With blackjack and all of that. Now that the conferences have been kicked to the curb for the sake of public health, game developers and publishers are looking for new and innovative ways to present their games to the bored, furloughed, and laid off workforce. And what better way than directly into your home?

Cue in the Summer Game Fest by none other than Geoff Keighley himself. The festivities kick off in May and run through August 2020. Developers and publishers from all around the globe have joined in and will be streaming their own events on a variety of platforms. The extent of the participation is unknown and runs studio to studio but you can probably expect a whole lot of trailers and playable teasers as well as in-game events.

Geoff Keighley has been behind a number of initiatives over the last few months including Steam Game Festivals which have done wonders in giving some indie games a new spotlight.
