You get nothing, good day sir.
Not too long ago we talked about Amazon’s new competitor to the streaming video game scene, Luna, and how it planned on bypassing Apple’s restrictive App Store by offering itself as a Safari-based app playable through your browser. It was only a matter of time before other services took note, as Microsoft did this week by announcing that Game Pass will be doing exactly the same.
Business Insider is reporting that Microsoft is planning on releasing a browser-based version of Game Pass. Apple has repeatedly rejected apps like Game Pass and Stadia under the claim that it is unable to review each game available on the service. An app running directly in the browser will bypass Apple’s restrictions as well as Apple’s revenue split.
