Red Dead Online Launches As $5 Standalone Game

For those who don’t want that pesky single player dead weight.

I think it’s safe to say that the online portions of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have been the most lucrative parts of both titles. With GTA Online launching as a standalone title in 2021 it was only a matter of time before Rockstar announced the same with Red Dead Online, and that time is now.

Red Dead Online will launch as a standalone game for $5 on December 1 where it will stay at that price until February 15, 2021 and rise to $20. It includes the option to unlock Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode plus all existing upgrades and content for Red Dead Online including the upcoming Bounty Hunter Expansion.

The Bounty Hunter Expansion includes new equipment and skills as well as new bounty targets and a new 100 rank outlaw pass. The standalone version runs upward of 123gb of space.
