Durr will helm new studio Foxbear Games.
Wildlife Studios this week announced the hiring of Johnathan Durr to lead a new independent studio in Los Angeles. Players may recognized Durr from his previous role as director of the hit game Marvel Strikeforce. Durr’s new responsibilities will cover the new studio Foxbear Games.
“With Jonathan Durr, we’re adding someone who has mastered the understanding of deep RPG systems to our creative network”, said Victor Lazarte, CEO of Wildlife Studios. “With Durr’s expertise and long history of success with the RPG genre, paired with Wildlife’s infrastructure, we are confident that Foxbear Games will deliver an amazing new mobile experience to gamers around the world.”
Foxbear Games marks the third independent studio set up by Wildlife Studios in recent memory, and follows the establishment of Never Forget Games and SuperWOW! Games. With over 800 employees, a portfolio of more than 60 games, and offices spread out over North America, Argentina, Ireland, and Brazil, Wildlife Studios has set itself up as a real contender in the industry.
