Activision Blizzard Staff To Walk Out Today

While thousands of employees sign letter of condemnation.

More than two thousand current and former employees at Activision Blizzard have signed a letter attacking the company’s response to a civil rights lawsuit from the state of California alleging practices of abuse, sexual harassment, and unequal opportunities for employment. Several statements have been either published or leaked to the public from high level Activision Blizzard executives, and they’ve been pretty universally derided as out of touch or downright dishonest.

Meanwhile a number of Activision Blizzard staff are expected to stage a walkout today at the company’s headquarters in Irvine, California. The walkout will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in person and the entire workday for virtual attendants. Employees have also expressed understanding for those in a more vulnerable position who may not be able to afford the loss of a day’s wages. Supporters are suggested to signal boost the walkout with the Twitter hashtag #ActiBlizzWalkout.

And for god’s sakes stop advertising upcoming Activision Blizzard video games at the end of your articles covering the company’s systemic abuse.
