After earthquake.
If you don’t live in Japan and don’t check international news, you may not be aware of the earthquake that hit the country on new year’s day just about a week ago. The earthquake has resulted in over 100 deaths and 200 missing as well as major damage to Japanese infrastructure on the west coast in what is being called the worst earthquake in eight years.
As has become standard for Final Fantasy XIV, the folks at Square Enix announced in the wake of the disaster that auto-demolition of housing on the Elemental, Gaia, Mana, and Meteor data centres will be suspended until further notice.
From all of us on the FFXIV development and management team, our hearts go out to those who were affected by the massive earthquake that occurred in Noto Peninsula on January 1st, Monday.
Due to the damages and other factors, we have decided to temporarily suspend the automatic demolition of estates.
Players will be notified of when to expect automatic demolition to resume. Check it out.
