You have to do the thing.
Wayfinder’s winter event Eventide is probably over soon so this may be a bad time to drop an article talking about the event. However I am one to answer my own questions and I got into the event pretty late so now you all get to read this along with me. Unless you’re also trying to finish the event last minute and have also found no answers to this question:
One of the quests available in the Wayfinder Eventide event is Season’s Eatings, which requires you to complete a challenge called…wait for it…Season’s Eatings in Eventide Vale. And I spent a good couple hours trying to figure out how to complete the event with nobody talking about it on the Reddit or discussion boards. Maybe I’m just an idiot.
If you’re wondering where to do the Season’s Eatings event in Eventide Vale, I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that you’re find it pretty easy if you can, the event is a big cauldron that when you approach it starts the quest. You’ll need to gather wood from nearby spawn points and light the cauldron to start the event. After that it’s just a matter of killing goblins until the event is done.
The bad news? Like every other event the Season’s Eatings is random. It may show up in your instance and it might not. For me it took completing the Eventide Vale event ten times before the cauldron finally appeared at random and I was able to complete the quest.
All you need is persistence, dedication, and maybe a prayer or two to your good pal RNGesus. And get it done before the event ends!
