Dark and Darker Reverses Invisibility Potion Bug Bans

Promises this isn’t going to be a recurring thing.

Dark and Darker launched wipe #3 today, March 15, and with it an update on a prior ban decision. Previously the team at Ironmace issued permanent bans to players caught exploiting an invisibility potion bug.

With today’s update the team announced that those bans will be lifted. This was announced in the latest patch notes on the official Discord.

Additionally, we have decided to lift the permanent ban imposed on users who exploited the invisibility potion bug, just for this time.

While our END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT stipulates severe punishment for abusers, yet we haven’t consistently enforced these measures for cases beyond players who have exploited dupe bugs to detrimentally impact the overall gameplay. Therefore, we deemed a warning insufficient before proceeding with a permanent ban this time.

Moving forward, we will address all instances of bug exploitation or abuse causing harm to innocent players with consistent rules, and please be aware that repeated offenses may lead to a permanent ban.

Dark and Darker is a PvPvE extraction game that was pulled off Steam due to a lawsuit from Nexon over allegations of code theft. The case is still ongoing in Korean court.
