Eight hour limited Twitch drop reward.
Tarisland launched today and you know what that means; there are Twitch drops. But while most developers use Twitch drops as a way of giving out free doodads and tchotchkes, the folks at Level Infinite seem keen to make it an early source of FOMO.
For two hours of watching you get a bunny that I assume is a pet. For five hours of watching streams you get a duck, which I also assume is a pet. For eight hours however you get a reindeer which is probably also a pet.
Only you won’t. Because you see the reindeer pet is limited to the first 50 people who claim it. It’s also incredibly misleading because the only way you’re going to see that the drop is limited is if you’re viewing it outside of Twitch.
Twitch doesn’t display any information that the drop is quantity limited, and more importantly incredibly limited quantity. It seems almost pointlessly cruel, and for a lot of players on social media it’s a sign of how much contempt and lack of respect the developer has for the community.
We’ll see how the game performs as time goes on.
