Fortnite is currently in the middle of a Marvel-themed season and that can only mean one thing; more Marvel content. Today’s update drops a new limited time mode called Day of Doom in which players team up to fight against, or fight for, the titular Dr. Doom.
In Day of Doom, up to 32 players will join the ultimate battle between good and evil. Players are divided into two teams: Doom’s Henchmen and Allies of the Avengers (“Avengers” for short). Both teams have Health and Shield that regenerate outside of combat! Both are also immune to fall damage and have infinite ammo for all weapons.
The goal of the game mode is pretty simple; Doom’s Henchmen are required to find and gather all six arcane artifacts. The heroes are just trying to kill all the Doom’s Henchmen and deplete their respawn pool before they are able to complete said task.
Meanwhile Iron Man’s combat kit and flight kit have been unvaulted, as has the Stark Industries Energy Rifle and drone and chests.
