The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has officially laid out its new courses for the Fall 2025 semester. MIT President Sally Kornbluth took the opportunity to announce a unique new course for the college; Path of Exile 2.
Eager gamers can sign up for a full degree in Path of Exile 2, with classes ranging from learning how to build your classes to navigating the absolutely enormous passive skill tree. Courses include titles like “Not Gimping Your Main 101,” a meditative class to avoid hyperventilating after you’ve been killed by The Viper Napuatzi for the hundredth time in Act 3, and an extensive course on roasting Forbes writer Paul Tassi over his hot takes on the game.
Path of Exile 2 is a graduate level program and is an extension of MIT’s lesser known and rather controversial undergraduate degree in sadomasochism. Kornbluth expects graduates will have a very long, successful career until Grinding Gear Games releases a major rebalancing patch in six months and makes all of the knowledge useless.
