Oops, Marvel Snap in the US Got Banned Last Night

As part of the Bytedance ban.

Marvel Snap is banned in the United States, at least right now. At the time I’m writing this article on January 19, TikTok has been banned in the United States at least until Trump signs a promised extension on the ban so ByteDance can sell the platform.

But nobody really saw Marvel Snap shutting down its US operations as part of the ban, and when I say nobody I mean pretty much nobody. Not even Second Dinner, the developer of Marvel Snap, was aware that the ban was coming. Marvel Snap is published by Nuverse, who happen to be a subsidiary of ByteDance. And since the law that shut down TikTok also shuttered all ByteDance-owned apps, Marvel Snap got snapped up.

The ban also affects games you’ve probably never heard of like Mobile Legends, Land of Empires, and Mission EVO. It is widely expected that most of these apps will become available again on Monday once Trump takes office.
