The Quinfall’s Launch Is Going Great

That headline isn’t sarcastic.

The Quinfall is the latest MMO to launch into early access, and after one day I can say without a doubt that it is going fantastically. And I’m not being sarcastic there. Or there. Or there. Or there. Alright that last one was sarcasm.

Developed by the fantastically named Vawraek Technology Inc., Quinfall is currently sitting at a 22% “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam out of 632 reviews.

Players in the reviews are noting the usual day one early problems. Crashes, optimization, server lag, server crashes. Desync from the server causing NPCs to disappear, the map to fail to load, losing connection during character creation and while playing. That kind of fun stuff.

But players are also really angry that the game launched in such a bad state, but apparently the devs made sure their priorities got a functional and stocked cash shop up and running day one with a whole lot of cosmetics as well as functional items some are calling pay to win.

It’s also being accused of copying and pasting Black Desert Online interfaces and mechanics.

Who brought the popcorn?
