NaturalMotion Games announces sunset.
Star Wars: Hunters is the latest live service game to rug pull consumers and announce its closure after less than a year of existence. Developed by Zynga and NaturalMotion, Hunters launched on June 4, 2024 on mobile and Nintendo Switch.
With middling reviews among critics on Metacritic, Hunters is rated as a mid-tier hero shooter that naturally has incredibly aggressive microtransactions attached to it as well as shallow gameplay thanks to its mobile roots.
The official website notes that the final update for the game will be April 15, with the servers going down on October 1.
