Apple Seems To Be Obstructing Fortnite’s Return

Tim Sweeney’s getting impatient.

Fortnite is coming back to the iOS App Store. Eventually. Some day. When exactly? It’s hard to say. According to Epic CEO and winner of 2019’s “Most Likely To Get Banned From The App Store” Tim Sweeney, Apple has both refused to reject or accept Fortnite’s submission to the App Store in the US.

The process usually takes a couple of days but according to Tim it’s been much longer than that. Tim has also noted that due to the update cadence of Fortnite, the team has had to pull their submitted version and now submit a new version.

Fortnite is (allegedly) returning to the US App Store following a pretty heavy ruling in the ongoing lawsuit between Epic and Apple in which Apple is currently being referred to prosecutors for potential criminal charges of contempt.

Whether putting their fingers in their ears or using the “new phone who dis” legal strategy is Apple’s method of delaying Fortnite’s return as long as humanly possible will have to be seen, as will its effectiveness.
