Hi-Rez Cans Stewart Chisam

After years of poor management decisions.

In the gaming industry, and hell pretty much anywhere else, it’s very rare that we get to see the people responsible for poor decisions see consequences. Back in February when Hi-Rez Studios laid off a bunch of employees and shut down multiple games we wondered when folks at the top like Stewart Chisam would finally answer for the poor way the company’s been run over the last few years.

And that’s finally happened.

After running most of the company’s catalog into the ground, Stewart Chisam has been ousted from Hi-Rez along with several other members of leadership including executive producer Travis Brown. The news was confirmed by Alex Cantatore on Reddit.

“Stew is transitioning away from Hi-Rez as part of this. Travis and Radar were also affected, as well as two folks in senior management on the Rally Here side of the business. I am very sad to be losing all of them.”

Judging by comments from the community and ex-employees at Hi-Rez on Glassdoor, there won’t be a whole lot of people sad to see Stewart go.
