Prices are going up and prices are coming down.
Fortnite is getting more expensive and at the same time getting cheaper. The folks at Epic this week announced that buying V-Bucks is about to get more expensive. A $9 USD pack used to get you 1,000 V-Bucks but after March 19 will net you 800 V-Bucks.
The kicker? The Battle Pass is dropping in cost from 1,000 V-Bucks to 800 although you’ll only earn 800 V-Bucks for completing it now so it won’t be netting you a profit. Purchases for Fortnite will also earn a 20% return on the Epic Games Store, meaning for every $9 you spend you’ll get $1.79 back.
The prices for the other battle passes are also coming down by 200 V-Bucks and the Fortnite Crew will only grant 800 V-Bucks per month instead of the prior 1,000. Existing V-Bucks cards will still redeem at their printed value.
