Check it out.
I’m well aware that PvPvE extraction games aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, frankly they don’t interest me much either. That said the genre is getting a lot of new releases and a lot of players coming in and out of each title. And the latest among those releases is Swordeye.
Billed as a directional-slasher, the game tasks players with tackling monsters, world events, and other players to get in, grab as much loot as possible, and extract with their butts intact. Or as intact as they can.
Less hardcore players may be relieved to know that the game does have a low-tier zone where players can hunt for loot in relative safety. You’ll need to go further out to get the really good stuff, where death means dropping your loot.
The playtest goes from today to March 31.
