That’s Chief Business Officer.
Leading indie mobile game developer FunPlus this week announced its latest recruitment; Chris Petrovic. Petrovic will join the company as chief business officer reporting directly to CEO Andy Zhong. Petrovic’s job will be to oversee the company’s growth and expansion efforts in the western markets.
“Chris’s career as an industry leader will undoubtedly empower our teams across the world to create, produce, and expand our brand of gaming experiences to wider markets and build upon our current ones,” says Andy Zhong, CEO of FunPlus. “We’re delighted to continue shaping our management by providing our global teams with organizational leaders to guide us into a new era.”
First up on the list? Presumably sending press releases to western media. Petrovic’s previous accomplishments include senior vice president at Zynga leading acquisitions of Rollic Games, Peak Games, Small Giant Games, Gram Games, Harpan and Puzzle Social, and securing IP rights to Star Wars, Harry Potter, Fast & Furious, and Game of Thrones.
