Phantasy Star Online 2’s PC Launch Is Wasting Everyone’s Time

Just enough to drop a review.

Phantasy Star Online 2 has had eight years to make its way westward and if you think that means the game wouldn’t be an unmitigated mess upon launch I have a bridge in Sheboygan to sell you. Right now Phantasy Star Online 2 sits at a two star rating on the Microsoft Store.

Many reviews note that the game had caused multiple blue screen of death crashes, that the game is deleting itself, creating folders that users cannot remove, gets corrupted when rebooting your PC, reinstalls itself several times, wastes enormous amount of space, and is just an overall bug-riddled mess. With over one thousand scores placed, Phantasy Star Online is sitting at a 1.8 with a community mega bug fix thread popping up on Reddit with ridiculous self-help solutions that shouldn’t be necessary for a game in 2020.

Our friends over at MassivelyOP have referred to PSO2’s launch as a “technical clownshow” noting similar problems to those found in the reviews on the store.

Have any MMO Fallout viewers tried to boot up the game on PC and had any issues? Had no issues at all? Leave us a comment.
