Temporarily as server issues are fixed.
Developer Syrin Studios announced this week that MMO Black Death will be removed from sale temporarily. According to an announcement posted on the Steam news page, the pause in sales is due to recent server instability.
We have paused the storefront/purchasing of the black death, this is due to recent server instability over the past weekend and the on-going homestead save issues combined, made it the right thing to do.
Also revealed in the post is a delay on the upcoming release of the Rebellion update, which the company notes is partially related to poor sales over the past three years. Launched into early access in 2016, Black Death is an open world game set in plague-ridden Europe. The Rebellion update was announced in December 2019 originally for a January 2020 launch.
Black Death currently sits at a 58% mixed rating on Steam with recent reviews claiming the game has been abandoned as the developers raise funds on Fig for a new title, Marauder.
