As I recently discovered in Final Fantasy XIV, when you encounter a boss that seals off the room, your best bet is to not wait for all members of the party to finish the short cutscene and go on ahead without them. Not to say that my character is useful for much other than hurling sarcastic remarks about the boss’ mother, but if I’m going to be stuck in the lobby could I at least get a coloring book and some crayons?
