Now that’s customer service.
You know what sucks? Buying anything and having it go on sale right afterward. Now most physical stores have policies where if you buy something and it goes on sale a week or two after, you can get the difference back. Just go to the customer service kiosk with your receipt and generally you’re pretty well off. It’s not universal but a lot of stores have it.
The Epic Games Store is working on addressing that in the digital space. Currently on Epic’s Trello roadmap under “up next” there are plans to introduce automatic price protection. In layman’s terms, if you buy a game and it goes on sale shortly after, the store will process an automatic refund of the difference.
Not a bad deal. Epic is also working on a better storefront, automatic refunds, mod support, wishlists, and more.
