Fallout 76 Launches To Mostly Negative Steam Reviews

Game peaks at 16,650 on day one.

Bethesda’s store does not allow customers to write reviews, and for Fallout 76 that’s probably a good thing. As Fallout 76 has officially launched on Steam with Beth.net buyers getting their copies transferred over with their linked accounts, buyers are already stampeding to let prospective customers know to steer clear of this title.

As of right now Fallout 76 has a 34% “mostly negative” rating on Steam with the population already at 16,650 (as of this publishing at 10:30 a.m. on a Tuesday) and rising. Incidentally Fallout 1st, the accompanying subscription service, has a slightly higher 38% “mostly negative” rating. Fallout 76 has seen controversy after controversy regarding the general quality assurance and competence of its release and subsequent updates breaking major parts of the game.

The Wastelanders update will bring major changes to the game and its world, and with it comes the likelihood of more malfunctions.

Those who own Fallout 76 on Bethesda’s platform and have linked their Steam account will already see Fallout 76 as well as Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics in their Steam library. Go wild, have fun.
