Steam Game Festival Returns In June

Get those game demos in your hands.

The Steam Game Festival is something I look forward to more than Steam sales themselves, honestly I haven’t bought much over the past few years. The Game Festival has occurred twice now first with the Game Awards and then again now that pretty much every convention has been cancelled. It’s hard out there for an indie dev.

It is a way to celebrate developers and bring more attention to their upcoming or recently released titles, because as I have said more times than I can count; the best way to get gamers interested is to get the games in their hands. A lot of fantastic titles have been shown off much to the dismay of my own wallet and probably many others. It’s also a great way for customers to see titles that they otherwise might have missed and put them on their wishlists.

Everyone wins, especially everyone.

The Game Festival is back and this time will take place from June 9 to the 14. The reminder page has launched and both gamers and developers can participate in their obvious respective fashions.

The Steam Game Festival is an event that shines a spotlight on games set to be released within the next year. From June 9th – 14th, check out upcoming releases, try them out with time-limited demos or short playable experiences, connect with the developers behind the games, and add games to your wishlist for a reminder when they release!

Head over to Steam’s website to set yourself a reminder. Developers who are interested should submit their application by April 24.
