Project xCloud Will Be Free To Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers

At no additional cost.

Phil Spencer has posted a very lengthy blog piece on the Xbox website today and if you’ve got some time to kill I suggest reading the whole thing. It goes over Microsoft’s commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere on its systems, talks about the Xbox Series X, backwards compatibility, upgrading, and all sorts of topics ranging around Xbox, Game Pass, etc.

But Spencer leaves off with the announcement that Game Pass and Project xCloud, Microsoft’s jump into streaming games, will be merged together in all supported countries this September and players will be able to stream their games for no additional cost. Players will be able to access their Xbox library across a wide variety of devices including PC, TV, and mobile.

In about a week Microsoft is holding the Xbox Games Showcase which will include a first look at the Halo Infinite Campaign.
