Destiny 2 Finally Stuffs Its Beaver Error On PC

The most nonsensical errors should be mostly fixed.

If you play Destiny 2 on PC then odds are you’ve been dealing with the ongoing Beaver error issue that’s been beating down players and evading Bungie’s technical support for months. Beaver is the code Bungie gives to errors when there is a connection problem between you and another player in the same area. Yea, it’s kinda nonsense.

But Steam players specifically have had Beaver issues when initially entering zones where the game will just unceremoniously kick back to orbit and give the Beaver error code. Personally I haven’t had a single gameplay session where I didn’t experience several Beaver disconnections immediately on entering the Tower for the first time per session. Occasionally the error would happen multiple times in a row.

Thankfully Bungie’s support has figured out the root cause of the issue and stuffed it.

BEAVER errors will still appear on PC from time-to-time due to connectivity failures and can be caused by a wide range of issues, including local connection issues.
