Final Fantasy XIV is dead set on releasing its Patch 5.3 and the accompanying main scenario quests on August 11, and that means you’ll need to know what homework to complete if you want to tackle the quests on day one. Thankfully Square Enix has published the requirements today, July 29.
In order to participate in the new quests you will need to complete Chronicles of a New Era – The Crystal Tower: The Light of Hope. Players will also need to have completed the side quest My Little Chocobo which is entirely dependent on the grand companies you joined.
That’s all! Well assuming you were already up to date on the main scenario quests. If not, you’ll need to get working.
