Steam: Avengers: Age Of Infringement Has Shady Reviews

Aka Time VR is “we have Avengers at home” mentality.

Those of you who read MMO Fallout know that I have a passion for awful Chinese knockoff games and today’s piece is no different. Right now I want to talk about Aka Time VR, a game with all the energy of an Ambien commercial and all of the shame of a Digital Homicide reunion at the Arizona Mongolian Buffet. Aka Time VR is a huge pile of trash, as you can see from the trailer that I have handily uploaded below:

You can play as Captain America or Spider Man in this game, or as they should probably be called: Stripes Guy and Arachnid Dude. It has lots of fun boss.

It looks like a game that might come packed in with a Leapfrog VR device made specifically for kids that costs $15 and is exclusively sold at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I’m willing to go out on a limb and suggest that Disney has not licensed the Captain America or Spider Man properties to Aka Technology Co. Ltd., and that you might see this game get pulled at some point in the next week or so. Once Disney’s lawyers smell blood.

But what’s really impressive is that Aka Time VR has a 100% rating from 28 reviews. If you check out the reviews you’ll find that a lot of them follow the general status quo of bot accounts; similar name styles (a lot of first names and random object names) ranging between four and six characters that are private and have profile pictures set as random face shots pulled from the internet. Some of the accounts use the same profile picture twice.

If you look at some of the users that have reviews on other games, it’s pretty obvious that those are botted as they tend to use the same verbiage repeatedly. The bot accounts that are trying to look more legitimate also have other reviews on games that are freely available on the Steam store. Oddly enough many of the accounts have left a bad review on the game ambr and Jar Wars.

Thanks to SirViolentDeath for finding this gem.
