Steam has a lot of DLC.
It’s time again for another Macrotransactions where I talk about the expensive DLC that gets released on a weekly basis on Steam. This week there is a surprising lack of trains but that’s only because the three releases were in the $25-35 range.
Fantasy Grounds – $157.92 worth of DLC

Fantasy Grounds is a game that is bound to come up often here on Macrotransactions because the game pushes out a lot of very expensive DLC at a high rate. This week the software team at Smiteworks USA has pushed out $157.92 worth of DLC total, various packages of RPG rule books and whatnot.
There is a total of 1,695 pieces of DLC for Fantasy Grounds.
RPG Maker MZ – $137.92

RPG Maker MZ is another program that releases a large quantity of DLC at a relatively fast pace. This week sees the launch of roughly $137.92 worth of DLC across several packages, and I included RPG Maker MZ by itself since there is more than one version and much of the DLC repeats across each one.
There are currently $610 in DLC for RPG Maker MZ.

The RuneScape Max Pack is the most expensive starter pack for RuneScape since its launch on Steam this week. For $129.99 you get a year of membership plus a bunch of various goodies.

· Forge Goblin Male and Female Outfit
· Forge Goblin War Hammer
· Forge Goblin Pet Mechanical Frog
· 50 Bank Spaces

· Extra Daily Treasure Hunter Keys
· RuneScape Soundtrack: The Orchestral Collection
Project Amalthea: Battlegrounds – Space Veteran Pack – $100

Onee Chanbara Origin – $97.05

Onee Chanbara Origin takes that cake for this week’s bit and mostly because it has $97.05 on the day one release of a game that costs $60 and it’s spread across 96 pieces of DLC. Yes, 96 pieces of DLC. It’s a whole lot of background music and costumes but if you’re the kind of person who has some money to throw around and really likes jiggly boobs (and who doesn’t) you have your pick of the candy store in this game.
JungleKnight Expansion Pack – $74.99

I’m not sure who could look at JungleKnight and say that this doesn’t look like a fantastic, quality product. Maybe it’s the horrible spelling or the fact that this is very likely a money laundering game, but JungleKnight’s $74.99 expansion pack sounds like nothing but great value.
For $74.99 you apparently get a color palette swap of the original character. If you’re the developer presumably you get a safe space to clean your illegal income.
Special Mention: Train World Simulator 2021 Swiss Edition

I briefly considered listing this and then changed my mind since it contains the base game, but then clearly changed my mind again and decided to use it as a special mention. The Swiss Edition of Train World Simulator is a stupidly good deal if you’re looking at getting into the game. It includes the base game plus five DLC packs for $50. These items would normally run you nearly $200 purchased individually.
I’m just saying it’s a good deal if you’re one of those train simulator nerds.
