Some people are getting their Xbox consoles early.
Picture this: You are told by FedEx that your Xbox won’t be delivered until the set date of November 10. But it’s November 7 and a knock at the door reveals the FedEx delivery man holding your package. You open it up and see your shiny new console inside.
What do you do? Do you boot it up? Is that even allowed? Is Bill Gates going to burst into the room and suplex you through the coffee table for daring to play your new console too early? Of course not.
Microsoft posted on Twitter today to acknowledge that some consoles are already being delivered early and that those who receive them are free to open them up at their leisure. They do note that players should expect system updates over the next couple of days.
The team is aware some fans are starting to receive consoles ahead of launch. For those of who receive them early, you are welcome to fire it up & start gaming!
FYI: We are still making final touches for launch so please expect multiple platform and game updates pre-launch.
