New quests and a new exotic.
The Deep Stone Crypt released in Destiny 2 and as usual the first group to complete the raid has the privilege of pushing the lore forward and introducing more content to the general public. How tough is beating the raid? Bungie is offering an exclusive jacket for purchase to anyone who can complete the raid before December 1.
You’ll want to head to Europa for a new cutscene as well as speak to Variks and the Exo Stranger for two new quests. Variks will send you to Bray Exoscience to take part in a simulated fight. The quest is an odd-ball involving a barely notable game mechanic of moving from fire to fire as you navigate the zone to avoid freezing to death in Europa’s cold weather.
The quest from Exo Stranger has you completing activities in the new Eclipsed Eventide Ruins Zone which is the prior zone but slightly more destroyed following the events of the world’s first raid completion. I found that one heroic glimmer extraction public quest filled the activity bar for the quest by over 50%.
It won’t take long to complete this mission at all, and your reward is a sidearm called “High Albedo” that fires in short bursts and can be modified to reduce the magazine clip from 36 to 27 but greatly increase reload speed. You’ll want to head over to Banshee-44 at the Tower to start the quest for the latest exotic. It’s an 11 step quest line that will have you running all over Europa for a fancy new sword.
