World of Warcraft’s latest expansion is popular. Ridiculously popular. Actually it’s the best selling World of Warcraft expansion ever. So it may not come as a surprise that the individual servers are starting to get overloaded in some instances with everyone logging in with their newly renewed subscriptions or just checking out the trial to see how far they get.
The result is that some of Warcraft’s servers are seeing intense queues. To placate gamers, Blizzard is offering a free one way ticket to basically-anywhere-else in the form of a free character transfer. The only hook is that transfers are nonreversible and only to servers that aren’t having population overloads. To check if the service is available all you have to do is look at the services section of the shop on the character select screen for that realm.
Just bear in mind that the process is not instant.
