Grand Theft Auto Online has officially launched the Cayo Perico Heist which Rockstar claims is the biggest and most action-packed update to GTA Online yet. Players will infiltrate El Rubio’s heavily secured private island of Cayo Perico to escape with incriminating files, gold, art, and dare I say cash money, to make it back to Los Santos.
The game update features three new radio stations to build on GTAO’s reputation for supporting underground music. New DJ voices include Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, UK DJ Joy Orbison, and more.
“The Cayo Perico Heist is our way of getting everyone together to party and dance in the safest possible way while also giving players the chance to take on our biggest and best Heist yet,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “It’s been a difficult and challenging year, and we wanted to make something everyone could have some fun in – we’re really excited for you to play.”
The Cayo Perico Heist is entirely playable solo from start to finish. Log in between December 18 and 20 to receive a free Dinka Veto Classic go-kart.
