It’s a perk.
Destiny 2 is underway into the Dawning event and this year one of the big goals revolves around the community’s efforts to acquire Dawning Spirit while completing various tasks. There are presumably five tiers of rewards for the community’s efforts and the amount required to fill up each stage goes up substantially as each section is completed.
Thankfully you too can boost your contribution by completing the quest line “And to All a Good Flight” and fully upgrading the Spiritfarer 7M obtained from the event. Equip it as your ship and you will have a good chance to obtain Dawning Spirit just by generating a Dawning ingredient.
At the rate that players are completing each section it seems unlikely that the community will complete the event by the time The Dawning ends. Thankfully we here at MMO Fallout know there’s no way Bungie is just going to let players fail this community task and forego the reward and community triumph.
So presumably either the rate of Dawning acquisition will increase or the benchmark for completing each stage will decrease. One of the two. Or both.
