Final Fantasy XIV had a bit of an oopsie this past week as sales prices on the Tales of Adventure items were not correctly priced as they were advertised previously. The Tales of Adventure is an item that allows players to level boost and skip missions for specific classes. The discount had been previously advertised at 30% however prices were discounted 20% instead.
An earlier post noted that Square Enix would be refunding the difference to player accounts in the form of Crysta. In an update posted yesterday Square Enix amended the details to note that they will instead make an effort to refund the purchase method used.
In our previous announcement, we stated that customers impacted by the incorrect discount would receive the difference in Square Enix Crysta. We will now be making our best effort to refund the price difference directly to the purchase method that was used to make the purchase. If we cannot refund directly to the purchase method, we will refund the difference in Square Enix Crysta to the account the items were purchased on.
Good news to those who would rather have the money back instead of Square Enix funny bucks.
