By more than a factor of one.
Today’s article is more on the humorous side because it’s Friday night and I’m still waiting on my grocery delivery. While browsing Steam’s battle royale release list I came across a game with a very peculiar name. A very peculiar name indeed. The game is Population: One, a VR battle royale game from BigBox VR Inc.
Now obviously Population: One would make for a great headline so I clicked on the Steam charts to see that the game is actually doing fairly decently. 168 concurrent players at this point is good for a battle royale game that requires VR to play. It’s certainly a lot better than Population Zero, a non-VR game which has a literal population of zero. As in nobody playing it right now.
I have nothing to add to this conversation other than to point out that a game called Population: One has more people playing it than a game titled Population Zero. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, there are muffins at the door on your way out.
