And have far more money to donate to charity.
Here at MMO Fallout we consider ourselves problem solvers rather than problem worseners. The big news this week is that Bungie has officially announced the Destiny 2 toaster, and the toaster is a heavily overpriced piece of junk. For the cost of $85, you can get a Destiny 2 toaster that is literally the same model sold at GameStop with various other brands for $50 cheaper. You also get a sandwich holder and emblem for your $50 surcharge. Oh and Bungie donates 10% of profits to charity.
Note I said profits, not revenue. Meaning if Bungie spends $25 on this toaster, the donation to charity is $6.
So with that in mind, MMO Fallout would like to present this list of better toasters you can buy and still be able to run laps around Bungie’s meager donation. This list is in no particular order and does not contain sneaky affiliate links, unlike some other sites.
1. Elite Gourmet ECT-3100

The Elite Gourmet ECT-3100 is an extra wide four slot toaster. Not only is it stainless steel and thus not coated in plastic like Bungie’s toaster, but the extra wide slots allow it to toast up croissants and thicker breads. Six settings, defrost, and a one year warranty.
Total Cost: $40 + tax
Max Donation: $45 – tax
2. YIOU Toaster 4 Slice

For nearly half the price of a Bungie toy toaster, you can get your hands on the YIOU four slice toaster. Four slots, up to an inch and a half thickness per slot, and separate dials to toast your breads to taste. This one evidently can’t handle croissants, but it does come with a warming tray to heat those up.
Total Cost: $45 + tax
Max Donation: $40 – tax
3. The Bob Ross Toaster
If you’re going to buy a substandard quality toaster, you might as well not pay a massive markup for it. The Bob Ross toaster is the same toaster only it prints Bob Ross’s wonderful face on your toast instead of the Bungie logo. Costs exponentially less than the Bungie toaster as well, only $35.
Total Cost: $35 + tax
Max Donation: $50 – tax
4. KitchMix 2-Slice Toaster

KitchMix 2-Slice toaster costs slightly more than the Bungie toaster’s more reasonable counterparts and looks like it as built with the siding of a Chevy from the 1950’s. A two slice toaster, the KitchMix offers high-lift so you don’t burn your fingers, non-slip rubber feet, and extra wide slots for your frozen French toast. Also it looks neat and will actually cook your toast.
Total Cost: $41 + tax
Max Donation: $44 – tax
5. Cuisinart CPT-122

A rather unassuming model, but the Cuisinart CPT-122 comes highly recommended for people who want a cheap toaster with a reportedly great track record on evenly cooking your toast. For $30 you get the standard seven settings, extra wide slots, and bagel/reheat modes.
Total Cost: $30 + tax
Max Donation: $55 – tax
And now this.
