Someone broke Apex Legends to bring attention to Titanfall.
Apex Legends has been hacked by at least one jilted Titanfall fan, and the result is a small portion of players being locked out of the game with messages about supporting Titanfall. Log in to Apex Legends on PC and you may be treated to a message about Titanfall’s hacker problem.
If you happen to be caught up, the bad news is you won’t be able to queue for any games. On the other hand, not being able to play Apex Legends gives more time to read up on Titanfall’s issues.

The link leads to a website dedicated to publicizing Titanfall’s ongoing problem with hackers. Namely Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment’s refusal to acknowledge or prevent a hacker that has been knocking out the game’s servers for several years now.
Titanfall 1 is currently unplayable on PC due to hacker(s) using exploits that prevents players from being able to play the game. This issue has been happening for years and Respawn is willingly pretending that they do not know about the situation. To this day, Titanfall 1 is still on sale on the Origin, and more recently Steam, even though it is unplayable.
Respawn Entertainment has commented on the situation with Apex Legends and is looking into it, as posted on Twitter.
We are aware of and actively investigating issues impacting @PlayApex playlists that are preventing players from getting into matches.

Titanfall meanwhile has seen its PC community at least plummet. The Steam version peaked at 266 players with a recent review score of 13% and an overall score of 36%. Titanfall is currently on sale despite the game being virtually unplayable as a multiplayer-only title.
