Conan Chop Chop Cancels Release Dates

Because release dates are for people who can stick to them.

Conan Chop Chop has had quite the interesting history. It started out as an April Fool’s Day announcement with the ultimate joke being that it was actually a real game. Since then the folks at Funcom have had the hard job of convincing people that Conan Chop Chop wasn’t actually a prank, as the 2019-announced game saw multiple delays in the ensuing two years.

Well Funcom is as tired of talking release dates, and as such the game has been delayed indefinitely. Not indefinitely as in cancelled, but indefinitely as in they aren’t going to commit to a release date until one is set in stone.

So, yeah. We failed on our promise, and for that we are sorry. This time, however, we can absolutely guarantee that there will be no more delay announcements. Why? Because this time we’ll not be announcing a new release date until the game is finished, tested, certified and ready for launch. And because our postponement announcer was promised that this would not be a full-time job.

Hopefully this doesn’t lead to months of silence followed the the headline that Conan Chop Chop has indeed been given the axe.
