CCP Games this week announced the next update to Eve Online; the Grand Heist. Starting later this month, players will be able to plan a grand heist of the ESS Reserve Bank. Players will need to trespass on secure SCC key storage sites in order to obtain authorized keys with which to rob the reserve bank. Stick around to increase your wealth, but realize that plenty of other pirates will be in the area ready to take it from you.
The reserve bank receives a portion of each bounty earned in-system and can only be accessed using new Secure Commerce Commission (SCC) authorized keys. When the correct key is used on an ESS, the reserve bank unlocks to be accessed by any eligible ships within 10km. Once a link is established between your ship and the reserve bank, stored funds will begin transferring to your cargo every minute until the reserve bank relocks.
The Grand Heist is available on the test servers now with live server access coming later this month.
