Netmarble Abandons Paragon, No Refunds

Early access.

Netmarble announced today that they will be abandoning their community and development of Paragon relaunch Paragon: The Overprime. Launched into early access in December 2022, Paragon: The Overprime has already closed down cash shop purchases as of today’s announcement.

The servers will remain online until April 22.

Since Early Access, Paragon: The Overprime has been a work in progress, as we’ve continued to explore, iterate, and think about different ways to meet our Warriors’ expectations. After careful consideration, we concluded that we will not be able to provide a stable and satisfying service moving forward. Because of this, we have made the decision to end the service on Monday, April 22nd, 2024.

Customer service will remain functioning until August 22, during which time players can send in requests for refunds and still receive an enthusiastic rejection. Netmarble doesn’t have plans to compensate customers for the product it failed to deliver on.

If you’d like to get on the next Paragon relaunch before it too closes down, and one whose community is revoltingly toxic, check out Predecessor on Steam for a mere $9.
