Pearl Abyss Celebrates 55 Million Players, $2.2 Billion

That’s a lot of players.

Black Desert Online has a lot to be proud of today, with Pearl Abyss announcing that the game has achieved over 55 million registered players across all platforms and has pulled in lods of emone in the process. $2.2 billion USD in revenue since its launch in 2014, which sounds even more impressive when you tally it in its original Korean Won at $3 trillion.

That’ll buy you the fancy ramen.

The celebrations don’t stop there though, as Pearl Abyss is using March to celebrate five years on consoles and four years of console cross-platform support. You’ll even be able to get your hands on the Scholar class on March 6.

“Our dedicated focus in 2024 is to make Black Desert more streamlined, accessible, and engaging for every level of player,” said Jaehee Kim, the Executive Producer of Black Desert. “This eight-year anniversary signals our progress towards that goal, and we’ll continue to achieve even more. Happy birthday, Adventurers!”
