Runes of Magic is 15 years old and you know what that means. Actually you might not, which is why I’m here. The folks at Gameforge have announced some updates coming to the game including the revamped Mystic Altar in the form of a timeless dungeon.
The New Shadows Over the Altar Dungeon is a revamp of the Mystic Altar and has been adapted to challenge experienced players. Grab new equipment including an accessory set over several instances. You can also get peak fragments to acquire the new gear.
“After the huge success of the first iteration of Timeless Dungeons, we’ve been working hard to enhance the experience for the 15th anniversary of Runes of Magic,” explains Patrick Mathieu, Product Manager of Runes of Magic. “We’re confident that this new content will delight both longtime fans and returning players who now have an easier time getting to higher levels thanks to the changes we made in preparation.”
Meanwhile the anniversary itself has its own events with the usual rigmarole. Experience boosts, extra drops, contests for merch. You name it, they got it. Check it out, and it wouldn’t be one of these articles without the prerequisite trailer.
