Persist Online.
I’m going to be honest with you; Persist Online feels like the name of a fake video game that would appear inside of another video game. Cipsoft announced today its first new game in a very very long time, a zombie MMORPG called Persist Online.
Every MMO writer just started working on their headlines for when this game eventually shuts down.
The game is described as a “true, old school MMORPG – but with zombies, guns, and baseball bats,” Persist Online promises to bring hundreds of players onto persistent servers. It’s a survival PvP shooter game. Probably with full loot.
“The true charm of an MMORPG lies in the diverse interaction possibilities among players and the unpredictable stories that emerge from them. Decades of operating Tibia have continually shown us this,” said Benjamin Zuckerer, Lead Product Manager. “It’s why we believe a good multiplayer game can only be created together with the community, and even before the Early Access period, we will regularly organize game tests.”
Players can anticipate day/night cycles, every building being accessible, and more. You can also expect a trailer. Right now. Truly this game feels like something from 15 years ago.
