Steam is getting a cool new update this week. If you’ve ever tried recording gameplay footage on the Steam Deck you know it can be a pain in the ass. You either need to download third party software that can ruin performance or you need to hook the system up to a capture card.
Well now you can do it without either of those things. Steam is testing a video recording feature for Steam which encompasses the app and Steam Deck. You can record gameplay and export as .mp4, and easily transfer to your PC or your phone. It promises to work with any game, and to minimize CPU usage.
