Lord of the Rings Online has new legendary servers and players aren’t entirely happy with the way Shadow Wraiths work. Apparently players weren’t too thrilled with the wraiths spawning on “15-20% of the mobs” according to a couple of users I saw on Reddit.
For those not familiar with the legendary servers, the wraiths work like so:
The Veil of the Nine challenge is only sometimes available on Angmar or Mordor, and its duration will be determined by the game masters at Standing Stone Games. In order to claim the rewards for defeating one of the Nine, you must:
Standing Stone Games has since asked the Shadow Wraiths to take it down from here, to about here. Pretend you can see where my hands are positioned.
As announced on the forums;
We have reduced the frequency of Shadow Wraiths appearing across Mordor and Angmar. All other wraiths will continue to menace you in accordance with Sauron’s whim.
There’s probably still some tweaking to be had, as user feedback seems to also be pointed to wraiths appearing in solo dungeons being a topic of concern.
