Talks Black Ops 6.
Activision is gearing up for the launch of Black Ops 6 and you know what that means. It’s time to update the public on the anti-toxicity initiatives. In a report on the official blog, Activision has been chatting about voice and text moderation and its effects on Call of Duty.
Did you know Call of Duty has AI-powered voice moderation? It does, and it’s also rolling out in Black Ops 6 on day one with existing support for English, Spanish, and Portuguese languages with French and German coming in Black Ops 6. Text based moderation meanwhile is available in twenty languages probably not including Pig Latin.
The anti-toxicity report touts that it has blocked 45 million text messages since the program rolled out in November 2023, while exposure to voice toxicity has dropped 43% since June 2024. 67% less players were repeat offenders and in July 2024, 80% of players who were smacked on the hands for voice chat infractions apparently did not reoffend.
There is also a big nerdy research paper available here for those inclined to read it.
All in the effort to make Call of Duty more crescent fresh.
