Servers to sunset in January.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a game Bethesda hasn’t shown much care for in long enough that you might have forgotten it existed. With the last depot update on Steam dating back to 2021 and the last patch notes five years ago (October 2019), the next piece of news might not be surprising at all.
They are shutting it down.
Players logging in will see the message:
An Update to The Elder Scrolls: Legends
The Elder Scrolls: Legends servers will permanently shut down on January 30, 2025. From now until January 30, 2025, all items in the store and entry into in-game events will be available for 1 gold each, so you can enjoy all the content Legends has to offer. On that date, servers will be shut down and the game will be inaccessible. Thank you for playing and we hope you enjoyed your time in Legends.
This is very likely yet another casualty of Microsoft’s broad sweeping layoffs last month. Legends has already been delisted on Steam.
Legends first launched in 2017 on PC and mobile, developed by Dire Wolf Digital. Development shifted to Sparkypants Studios in 2018 who have continued supporting the game in maintenance mode for the last six years.
fuckkkkkk
The rumors are that Bethesda is moving devs to work on ES6 so not surprised.
